William Henry BIO:
My name is William Henry and I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. I attended Greenville High School where I played Varsity Football as an offensive lineman. With hard work on and off the field, I earned a football scholarship to Clemson University where I became the first player to graduate with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, in 3 and a half years, before finishing my collegiate football career under Head Coach, Tommy Bowden. I have a BA in Sociology and a Master’s in Human Resource Development. After Clemson, I went on to play in the NFL. I spent some time with the Atlanta Falcons before heading to NFL Europe where I played for the Frankfurt Galaxy in Frankfurt, Germany. After the 2005 season, I returned to the NFL in 2006 where I was a part of the Seattle Seahawks organization when we made it to Super Bowl XL. I am grateful for all the experiences that football gave to me, for it has shaped how I approach leadership and business to this day.
After my football career was over, I began a career in the restaurant industry that lasted over ten years and allowed me to build a resume to include management positions for single and multiple units, including territories throughout North and South Carolina, and human resource management. My time in the restaurant industry piqued my interest in sales and life management which brought me to my current position as the owner of a State Farm Agency in Palmetto, Georgia, where I get to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. State Farm not only offers traditional property and life insurance, but we have a bank that has all the full benefits of a traditional brick and mortar institution. I am building a team to assist in this endeavor to make a positive impact on as many lives as possible. My goal is to continue the cycle of good stewardship and give back to the people of my community as others have done for me.
I am excited to be a Georgian and I look forward to the lasting relationships that I will build in this state and the business success of the future.
